About the Author
Ken Schwartz author of A Time for a Lady, A Place for a Lady
A Time for a Lady, A Place for a Lady marks Ken’s debut as a novelist, though he’s spent much of his life in the company of words. In college, Ken led his college newspaper as editor-in-chief, guiding it to second place in General Excellence in Northern California. He also earned individual honors for his editorial on unequal facilities for men’s and women’s athletics at the college. Ken earned his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Santa Clara University, where he received the Rebello Award for excellence in modern languages and was inducted into Phi Sigma Iota international language honor society. As a reporter for the Goodland Daily News, he covered everything from girls high school volleyball to a murder trial. He also wrote a weekly sports column. Ken shares life’s adventures with his Venezuelan wife, Dilcia, their daughter, Christina and a Siamese cat, Boots, who adopted the family.
